Today was the first day of Tokyo Writer’s Salon’s Spring Beachside Retreat. I had been meaning to attend one of the group’s meetings for the longest time, but this time I decided to just take the plunge and have at it. It seemed like a good time to take a holiday from the stresses of the everyday and dedicate 48 hours of my time solely to the passion of writing.
Just started watching this series the other day. It’s pretty amusing so far although the premise is a bit out there and the music is catchy. Also Sato Takeru is in it.
Today I learned how to make a seasonal mochi, sakuramochi. We made two styles, Kanto and Kansai. Each time I learn how to make one of these, I’m surprised at how easy they are.
Saw this today! It’s based more on the novel than the Studio Ghibli movie, but it was still enjoyable. Might be a bit hard to follow if you haven’t at least seen the anime film though. Still a cute, cheery film!
Today was a lot of fun. I made some wonderful choux a la crèmes (cream puffs) and éclairs. The filling in the éclairs is coffee flavored, giving them a “grown-up” taste”.
