The SPAS Graduate Conference on Asian Studies last week was a wonderful experience, one that I hope to repeat in the years to come. I am also both overjoyed and honored to receive this year’s Seidensticker Award for my paper “Thy Name is Woman: Performing the Feminine Ghost in Japanese Theatre and Cinema”!
