Just started watching this series the other day.  It’s pretty amusing so far although the premise is a bit out there and the music is catchy. Also Sato Takeru is in it.

Sahara Natsuki (Sato Takeru) is a rookie detective recently assigned to the Ginza Police Station… Where his father, Akimura Shimao (Watabe Atsuro) happens to be a veteran detective, with whom Natsuki has long since been estranged ever since he divorced his mother and abandoned their family.  One thing leads to another and the two end up being made partners, or “buddies”.  The tag line for the show is “The Worst and Strongest Father-Son Detective Pair”.

First episode flowed well and was entertaining.  The action is pretty crisp and is well balanced with drama as well as comedy.  From the looks of the preview for the next episode, things will probably move extremely quickly in this series.
